This property does not disappoint! It’s absolutely outstanding with space for 9 guests with 4 bedrooms and three washrooms. Situated on 300 feet of lake frontage with a clay bottom beach, the entire cottage is clad in white with contrasting black framed windows and the most stunning modern black features like throughout.

As soon as you walk in you’ll notice the soaring cathedral ceilings painted out in a fresh white hue.  The sun filled living room nods to some Californian vibes with its light beachy colour palette, palm tree floor lamp and the surfboard mounted above the door. The space is grounded by an oversized blue toned sectional that has ample room for guests. It’s deep and plush, making it the perfect spot to curl up and watch a good movie.

Every vacation rental needs a healthy mixture of comfortable lounge worthy pieces of furniture, and showstopping Instagrammable unique touches.

For this property, this rattan wrapped tub chair is a statement piece. This chair is absolutely stunning and makes the entire living room feel elevated and well designed.

Repeating elements in a space is something we always strive to do in our interior projects so we love the other hits of rattan peppered throughout the home. The lounge chairs opposite the tub chair also bring a lot of personality into the room. Using these chairs with their backs facing to the entrance was a really smart design decision as the backs of the chairs are one of the most interesting parts about them! A healthy mixture of natural materials like the stone fireplace, black poufs for extra seating and a lush textured rug make this living room feel welcoming— the perfect place to kick back after a day out on the lake.

The dining room features a wood harvest table painted out white with a long bench and black modern windsor style chairs. There’s enough space for a large party making this a great destination for a big family or a group of friends.

The kitchen is bright and super modern with Scandinavian touches— like the wood hanging pendant lights above the island. We love this clean lined concrete waterfall island adding another natural material into the mix. The island has three wood and wicker bar stools warming up the kitchen and bringing in more of the Californian boho vibes.

The property features two washrooms and an ensuite..conveniently all three washrooms have showers. One thing we really love that they did in this space was design all three washrooms differently. Since washrooms are small, confined spaces— sometimes it can be easy for property owners to make them strictly utilitarian.. But we would argue that washrooms are one of the best places to add some character to a home because you’re working with such small surface area. It’s easy to make some calculated design decisions that will have big impact. One of our favourite tile applications in a washroom is tiling the entire wall from floor to ceiling and in the first washroom at the beach house they’ve done a fab job with this approach tiling the sink wall in green glossy subway tile. This is such a cool way to add an unexpected pop of colour to your bnb. Another thing the beach house does well is mixing finishes. This washroom has sleek modern black finishes for the shower but also has pops of brass throughout.

In our humble opinion, every short term rental  NEEDS a bathtub. When we are going away we want to relax, read a book, drink some wine, and soak. The master bedroom in the beach house features a stunning fully loaded ensuite washroom with a shower and a freestanding soaker tub. We love the addition of the bathtub tray— the perfect spot to rest your glass.

The beach house has 4 bedrooms. The master bedroom with the ensuite features a white washed wooden king bed, luxurious bedding and a large credenza for clothes storage. The room feels fresh, bright and coastal. One thing the beach house really excels at—is rugs. In every room you’ll find multiple rugs and they’re all different. Rugs are a great way to ground your furniture, create zones, and provide extra coziness under foot. The majority of the rugs in the house are braided jute which continue to tie the beachy theme from room to room. When you’re picking rugs —think outside the box! The first master bedroom features a round jute rug—it makes this space feel playful and different.

The third bedroom faces the lake and features the same bed frame as the first master bedroom. This room feels modern with it’s black side tables and luxury styling moments like the Tom Ford book and the black candle. Opposite the bed there’s a comfy lounge chair for reading in the sun.

The Beach house features both front and back decks. On the front deck they’ve got two distinct zones, one for eating and one for lounging. There’s also a barbecue for summer time grilling. Keeping in line with that you’d expect inside, the decor is modern and minimal with Lakehouse influences.

The front yard also features an epic fire pic with room for ten. We love the flagstone walk way- with the round pea gravel fire pit area. The back deck faces the lake with more chairs to relax in. There’s also a set of black loungers for sunbathing.
